Spread Shots?
[Reposted from the Forum]
For the past month or so, I’ve been combing through thousands of pictures as I update the Women of Summer Camp pages. (It’s inspiration for B4, I tell you!)
Anyway, several photographers have the model pose in more risqué positions than what I usually choose. That’s right, spread shots. Most of them aren’t like the cheesy “two-finger spread” shots from Hustler, but they’re still spread shots—although some of them are shots that would make Larry Flynt proud.
Personally, I like pussy as much as the next man (or woman), maybe more. But I pride myself on providing a classy web site. Well, mostly classy. But I digress…
Are spread shots classy? Sexy? Depends? A total turn-off?

Timing is everything…
I recently added links to the Summer Camp “Epilogue.” It spent 6+ months as a semi-hidden part of the site, so I figured it was time to make it official. I thought it was funny. And innocuous. Boy, was I wrong.
It seems that timing is everything. Or maybe I just didn’t count on some folks’ ability to completely gloss over a critical piece of information… like the April 1st date at the end of the Afterword. Maybe I underestimated how well readers know me and my style (not to mention my sense of humor). Maybe I just underestimated people’s ability to jump to the wrong conclusion and then run with it.
Why I love the Model Lifestyle
Most of you know that I’m always trolling the internet for porn. Well, not exactly porn, but nude sites. My Links page is a veritable Who’s Who of the best nude sites on the net (IMO, at least). I pay ~$100/month in membership fees to more than a half-dozen sites, and I try to keep up with updates, models, photographers, etc. It’s a thankless job, I tell you.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I was browsing the semi-seedy underbelly of amateur picture blogs (my love of amateur porn is another post entirely, but I digress). I spotted a picture of a familiar model, but it wasn’t a picture I recognized.
Side note: many models use professional names, to protect their real identity. So it’s entirely possible to find the same model with two or three different names. Fex: the model for Summer Camp’s Annika is listed as “Nastassja” at Erotic Destinations, but her “real” name is Veronika, which is how she’s listed at MET-Art, Errotica Archives, Hegre-Art, etc. (She’s a very popular model.)
But… back to the story of my never-ending quest for babes.
Update, schmupdate.
Hi, gang.
I’ve been meaning to write a blog post for a couple of days now, but I’ve been busy IRL. Sorry.
First, the good news. Nereids is complete on Ruthie’s Club. If you’re not already a member, you can join for a 7-day trial for only $9.95. So, now’s your chance to read Nereids in its entirety (along with hundreds of other illustrated stories). Otherwise, you have to wait till the Ruthie’s Club exclusivity period is up.
On to other good news. I just sent the first part of “Breakdown” to my editor. I expect to post it in a week or so. The schedule will depend on my team’s schedule, but you have that to look forward to.
In other news, I’ve been working on my web site and doing computer upgrades.
