Why I love the Model Lifestyle

Most of you know that I’m always trolling the internet for porn. Well, not exactly porn, but nude sites. My Links page is a veritable Who’s Who of the best nude sites on the net (IMO, at least). I pay ~$100/month in membership fees to more than a half-dozen sites, and I try to keep up with updates, models, photographers, etc. It’s a thankless job, I tell you. ;-)

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I was browsing the semi-seedy underbelly of amateur picture blogs (my love of amateur porn is another post entirely, but I digress). I spotted a picture of a familiar model, but it wasn’t a picture I recognized.

Side note: many models use professional names, to protect their real identity. So it’s entirely possible to find the same model with two or three different names. Fex: the model for Summer Camp’s Annika is listed as “Nastassja” at Erotic Destinations, but her “real” name is Veronika, which is how she’s listed at MET-Art, Errotica Archives, Hegre-Art, etc. (She’s a very popular model.)

But… back to the story of my never-ending quest for babes.

I recognized the model as “Lissa A” from MET-Art. Now, Lissa plays an important role in Summer Camp: she’s a perfect match for my mental image of Gina. Not surprisingly, I kinda fell in love with Lissa, and I snapped up every pic I could find. So when I spotted “Lissa” on the amateur blog, it piqued my interest. The pic was obviously professional, but it wasn’t from one of the shoots I’d seen on MET.

I’m a whiz with a Google search, and I quickly found more pics, along with the model’s real name: Kamilla. In the process, I found MPL Studios (read my review). Kamilla is one of the top models at MPL, and I quickly joined the site.

In addition to all the beautiful models, MPL Studios has something I really like: Model Lifestyle photos. They’re basically on-the-street or behind-the-scenes photo shoots, without all the poses and posturing of a managed shoot.

Now here’s where the story needs a little more explanation. Since I bought the MacBook, I’ve fallen in love with iPhoto. It’s a fantastic photo management program, with tons of powerful organizational features.

Anyway, I created an iPhoto library with all of the Summer Camp models. At current count, it’s 24,414 images, so you can see why I need a powerful piece of software to manage all that. Some models have only a few pictures: Erin (66 images), Elizabeth (66 images), or Hayley (20 images). Other models have more images to choose from: Abby (105 images), Leah (336 images), or Jenny (1040). A couple of models are tremendously prolific. Marketa as Sofie takes the cake, with a whopping 4,626 images! Evidently, she’s the Kevin Bacon of the nude modeling world. But Lissa/Kamilla as Gina is in the running, with 2,995 images.

So, why do I mention all that? Well, you probably noticed that I’ve been updating the Women of Summer Camp. I use iPhoto to scan through my collection for each model. Then I use iPhoto’s star rating system to choose a pool of good images. Finally, I narrow them down to 4 images, plus a bonus (the random image).

In the process, I look at a lot of images. Last night, I scanned through Lissa/Kamilla’s collection. All of it. And I found a bunch of really cute Model Lifestyle pics. I decided on one of them for today’s POD, which is how we got here in the first place. I don’t know why I’m so enamored of the Lifestyle pics, but I am.

Like I said, I look at a lot of nude women. I guess it’s nice to see a not-so-nude model giving me a sneak peak at something no one else can see. I know that I’m one of thousands of guys who look at the same image, but the Lifestyle pics still seem more… intimate. Go figure.

Anyway, that’s the story behind today’s POD. I hope you enjoy it.

    Lovely picture, Nick, of a gorgeous model. Just reconfirms my, er, attachment to her. Yes. That’s a good word. :-)

    Like I stated to you earlier, another wonderful example of a natural beauty. I love the the fact that you show us the best of these women and leave the the “fake” ones for Hollywood.

    Nick,

    Really enjoy what you do for us; humor, pique, titilation, and serving us a wry sense of humor no mater the tone of the day. Well done Sir, keep it up, Sirrah, Sirrah, etc. etc. etc.

    @bistek,

    Several people have suggested an archive, but I won’t do it. The main reason is that I’m not a nude site. I’m a writer who also posts nudes. That’s why I post links to the sites that are nude sites.

    The nudes are a good distraction when I’m not in the writing mood. If you want more pics, you can find them on the source sites.

    @SofaKing (Funny name, BTW)

    Yes, I replaced the pictures. But what’s to stop you from saving them yourself?

    That’s one of the biggest reasons I don’t feel an obligation to keep an archive when I change pictures (or even when I change models). You can always save the pictures to your local machine.

    Save As… it’s your friend. ;-)
